I'm Desrae Richter

Since I can recall, my vibrant personality has always preceded me wherever I go, extending its influence at least ten feet ahead. It possesses a remarkable size, boldness, and power. I am an individual who exudes a loud, enthusiastic, passionate, and bubbly demeanor. My greatest assets are my infectious smile, unwavering positivity, and unyielding faith.

MY STORY

AUTHENTIC


Throughout most of my life, I've devoted an excessive amount of time, energy, and effort to tempering, pretending, or concealing my foremost attribute: my authentic personality. Years of feedback and life experiences have conditioned me to believe that my intensity is too overwhelming for most people in their everyday lives. I was taught not to take up too much space! My energy is often perceived as exhausting, intimidating, and even threatening. I am propelled by drive, persistence, confidence, curiosity, compassion, and a directness that comes naturally to me. Above all else, I am a seeker of truth and light. I AM SHINY!

TRANSPARENT

Imagine my surprise when a very small voice, not my own, began whispering that I am loved, that I belong, and I no longer need to fear. I didn’t even understand what "to belong" meant, AND, whom did I belong too? Loved? What is love? The concept of love was so foreign and tainted to me that it didn’t even make sense. Bits of me were already lifeless or crippled by agonizing terror, fear was a comfortable companion. My family bore the burden of my pain for far too long and for them, it is the reason I did the excruciating work! The Lord gave me love on this planet that showed me love when I was unlovable!


INTENTIONAL

Yet, I get yet - so I trusted those words and leaned in. Over the years those words have shaped and grown my core values. Those values transformed into themes, themes that cultivated the rhythm of actions I call life. Rest in the yet!

DYNAMIC

I live authentically transparent because secrets make you sick. I express genuine kindness, kind is clear. I can love others without judgment because boundaries are important and obligation is not sustainable. I strive towards potential in the power of possible. I am all together lovely, there is no flaw in me. S.O.S 4:7 I don't have to be anything for anyone, but who I was created to be in Jesus!
